Default Help!!!!

I am currently in nursing school. I am pulling my hair out. I was sitting at my desk, hating the world and typed "nursing school sucks" in the search engine. It brought me here...go figure, I was just playing around. So, can any of you tell me, honestly, if nursing school is worth the pain and suffering? It is turning me into a very bitter person, and that is not who I am.

I debated between Nursing and Resp Therapy, and ended up choosing Resp. There is a lot less stress (so I hear), and the pay is not much less, and you are still working with patients, hands on. Good Luck!!

I hated nursing school. I hated the prac where everyone was judging you and grading you even though you were just doing your best. That's the worst but I love nursing now. Once you're out you have autonomy and can set your own boundaries and not have to work to someone else's schedule. Stay with it unless you really hate it - it will give you a lot of options, even if you choose to study something else on top of it.

OMG, im a nursing student too, and im hating it so much that i've broken down in tears a couple of times. now who do you kno that's like an english major or something thats been so stressed out that they break down and cry? no one, rite? i hate the fact that the content that we have to learn is soo hard and yet they still ask sooo much of us like those damn nursing care plans and all this other stuff that "real" nursing never ever do. i regret the fact that i got into this major just because of the money. i had no prior passion or interest in the profession. now im stuck cuz im a junior and im almost done so quitting is not really an option. everyday i struggle with the fact that i hate working in the hospital and i really dont like the patient interaction aspect. the only thing i can look forward to is that graduating with this degree will open up so many opportunites. the degree is very versatile and you're not stuck just working in the hospital.

my advice is to stay with it. i thought that i was the only one who felt this way, but now i kno that there are ppl like me who are going through nursing school hell. just be reassured that it will all pay off. even though im HATING nursing school, ima gonna try to finish cuz i refuse to be in school any longer than i have to.
