I am so glad that I found this!!! I hate nursing. It is the worst job I have ever had. I have sold cars (bad), I have managed a restaurant (bad) and I have cleaned houses which was very bad but at least there was a stick between me and the toilet. In Nursing you do everything with a thinnly gloved hand. Dear god, what was I thinking!
I am surrounded by hideous assholes (Dr's, Res. Therapists, Pharmacy, you name it) with the exception of a few nurses who have resigned themselves to a lifetime of hell and have accepted it. Of course I cherish the occasional family or pt that extends a kind word of gratitude for my desperate attemps to provide the best possible care. I feel like a failure. I hate my job and I am starting to hate my life. What life?
I begged a dear friend of mine to pick something else. Don't be a nurse! It is horrible.
