I know exactly how you feel. 25 years of nursing and what do I have to show for it? High blood pressure, anxiety and a bad back. does the hospital care? Hell no, the extracted exactly what they wanted from me.... my life blood so that they could bank the profit. I was simply a commdodity and that was all the interest they had in me.

Administration, doctors, health supply and drug companies are only interested in keeping that free flowing money spicket flowing. How pathetic to see Johnson & Johnson TV adds encourgaing young people to go into nursing. "DARE TO CARE" is the TV ads hook. Wow..... such humanitarians that J&J company. Couldn't possibly be the fact that the nursing shortage is threatening and undermining their ability to sell more and more surgical and nursing care supplies, could it?

How about the hospital administators telling us (each year) that we "ALL" have to sacrafice for the benifit of the patients. Yeah, the hospital administrator's job. The one listed by the US Dept of Labor to be the 3rd HIGHEST rated position in the country when you take into consideration the pay, benifits and excellent working conditions.

It all makes me want to puke. That is why I got out and started my own business. The only way to go; trust me. Dont wait until you are nearly 50 like I did. Do it now.
