I totally agree with everything you said. It is almost like we worked in the same dealership. I came from the same situation and after 5 years of her constant complaining and never being able to make her happy I quit! The sad thing is I really enjoyed the job and my fellow co workers. I controlled all aspects of the warranty, handled the rentals, the body shop receptionist, and was a back up cashier, dispatcher, and service advisor. Needless to say I was never sitting down and constantly on the go, I LOVED IT! That was all until the evil Queen was placed in her throne and the thrill of juggling 5 different jobs a day was no longer a thrill all because she couldn't let me be. She was always calling to check on me to make sure that I was working, like I ever had time not to, and then one day she made a comment when she didn't think I was in the office that she needed to see if she could find me another job because she noticed that on Thursday's I had time to help stock in parts for 15 minutes! Well that was it, I was a hard working employee that didn't even know how to call in sick and here I was being critized for helping out a fellow department. So I walked up to her told her she wouldn't have to worry about doing that because she could consider me gone as of 4 o'clock that day! I have since moved on to develop my skills further by learning about sales and billing in the new and used car departments at another dealership, but I often think of them and how I really miss the people and where I would have advanced to there if I would have toughed it out or she would have never darkened my doorstep. But we can't think in the past and I have moved on, I may not enjoy my current job as much but the people are good, and management is solid. The only thing being is here I am just another face in the crowd and there they knew me, really knew me.
Sincerely,
Just another hard worker

I CAN'T TELL YOU ENOUGH JUST HOW MUCH YOUR STORY SOUNDS LIKE ME. I STUCK WITH MY COMPANY FOR SEVEN LONG YEARS. I DEALT WITH NEW MANAGERS EVERY SIX MONTHS. AND I PRACTICALLY HAD TO TRAIN EACH ONE. I STOOD ASIDE AS THEY TOOK ALL THE CREDIT FOR THE SUCCESS IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, WHEN ALL ALONG, I WAS RUNNING THE SHOW. I TOOK ON ADDITIONAL JOBS AND WAS DENIED A PAY RAISE TIME AFTER TIME. TO MAKE THINGS WORSE, I WAS PUSHED TO THE EDGE AND PRETTY MUCH PUSHED OUT THE DOOR JUST BEFORE I TOOK MATERNITY LEAVE. MY NEW MANAGER ACTUALLY HAD THE NERVE TO INCREASE MY WORKLOAD 3 WEEKS BEFORE I WAS TO DELIVER MY BABY. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I HAVE DECIDED NOT TO RETURN. AFTER ALL THE STRESS THEY PUT ON ME I AM SURPRISED I LASTED AS LONG AS I DID. I LOVED MY JOB THOUGH, ASIDE FROM ALL THE ARROGANT MANAGERS. I KNEW IT LIKE THE BACK OF MY HAND. I HAD THINGS MEMORIZED THAT NO ONE COULD EVEN BEGIN TO KNOW. THE BAD THING IS, EVERYDAY I HAD TO WORRY ABOUT GETTING FIRED, JUST BECAUSE THE "NEW MANAGEMENT" WANTED NEW FACES IN THE COMPANY. THEY ALWAYS WANTED CHANGE. MY HISTORY WITH THE COMPANY MEANT NOTHING. I AM GLAD TO SAY, I AM NOT GOING BACK. ALTHOUGH, I SURE WISH I WAS A FLY ON THE WALL WHEN THEY GET MY RESIGNATION!!!
SIGNED,
WHOS GOT THE LAST LAUGH?

Reminds me of my job. I work at a dealership as a service writer, we are a big turnover shop, easily 150-200 cars a day on a Saturday. We have 4 morning shift advisors (6a-2pm), 1 mid shift (11-7pm) quick serve advisor, and 4 night shift advisors (2pm-10pm). They have no problem with anyone working more than just your shift. Morning shift pushes out more cars than nights. Anyways 've been here 7-8 months now. I am 100% commission, i turn anywhere from 8000-17000 a week in just labor with a labor rate at 90 hr. Since I've been here we have been through a buy out, the big guys bought us out on Sept. 2010. They said oh hi! We arent going to make any changes its gunna stay the same. Then first the cashier is fired, director of parts and service fired, had like 4-5 techs quit, 1 advisor fired, 1 quit, one downgraded. New service director is making huge changes daily. Its getting bad, Ive been job searching and interviewing looking to go else where. I like all my co workers, get along awesome, loved the job before they came in, now its raising hell on me.
Also they hired on 2 new advisors since ive been there and they get put on first shift (senioriety shift) immediately.I wasn't happy about that. I push out more sales than each of them do. And supposedly the CSE is gunna be part of the paycheck now, its hard to get 100% on those. Im sure some of you know about that.
End rant/
