I just had an MCI guy pursuade me to switch and say there was no cost but I had to pay my phone company to switch and there is a $3.00 per month minimum. Usually I hang up on sales calls. Why did I waste my time on this one.

I work for mci. Call up and ask for the Anytime Calling Plan. The plan code is CHIP. It's 9c for state to state calls, 7c for instate calls with a 35c connection. But you really won't be charged and then you can just use 1010 numbers all the time and pay a decent amt.

I just started working at the springfield MCI call center three weeks ago and it is actually the most straight up, prosperous telemarketing job I've ever had. You know what makes it easy for me? We actually have a great product to sell. I've always said that if I could find a product I would actually buy, I would sell the crap out of it and I have. MCI's Neighborhood Complete plan rocks. I actually do have friends and family all over the country and now I can call them as much as I want (I used to run up, like, $140 phone bills with long distance) and I never pay more than around $64 (that includes call waiting, caller ID... etc.) I'm personally really happy with MCI. Maybe you bad experience was just the people you were around. There are always bad stories associated with the good ones. :ant:

i currently work at mci.i am one of those dreaded telemarketers but in my defense i do not lie to customers.i work in a winback campain so i deal with customers who just switched away from mci ,many for good reasons! for some reason our management team thinks it should be easier to sell someone who just switched as opposed to someone who never had us.iguess the 50.00 credit i can offer does help,but many of the people i talk to say theyd never come back if i gave them free ld for life! of course since i do have a 50.00 credit to give they(management) think i should be able to sell everyone,so our commit is 4 times higher than other campain calling. i am really good at calming people down though (if i can keep them from hanging up). ive made some good money at mci (big bonuses) and imve won alot of prizes!last month i won a "free"cruise (what they didn"t tell me was i had to get myself to miami to get on the shipand i live in phoenix. so i didnt take it i chose to take mci reward points instesd which they tax at 42% like everything else (including debit contest money prizes)is that even legal?42%taxes is just crazy. now they told me im #1 for the quarter and get a 2000.00 shopping spree(minus 42%tax of course) yeah mci has alot of bullshit that goes along with the job but i just let it roll right off me case ive never been paid so much to sit on my ass and talk on the phone.yeah im gonna miss my job just found out our center is closing and im one of the 4000 people fixing to lose their job. 6 weeks of severance pay oh and they told me theyre gonna just give me the cash for that 2000 shopping spree (minus 42%tax of course) so i guess ill be looking for a new line of work because telemarketing is definately a dying business (i know00 your all saying thank god!) well thanks for reading my rantings p.s. if you know of any jobs in phoenix that pay well for sitting in your ass let me know!
