Job Story: High cost and little reward in Costa Rica

i disagree! i went and spent less than 850$for the week, that's including everything-airfare,bus transport,park fees food. i really enjoyed manuel antonio and monteverde but you may have to be a big plant person to really appreciate the beauty. i had a wonderful time horseback riding, white water rafting, and hiking up volcan irazu. i hope others arent put off by the previous comment and give cr a chance!

i beg to difer. when did you go and by whose recommendations did you find these hotels. i found several places there that were more than reasonable and if you had done your research you would have known what sort of monetary value the locals place on their services. i bought i burger fries and fresh fruit juice for less than 4 bucks. and was able to find plates for even less than that. standards my friend are the question if you wanted 5 star you dont go to latin america.
