Okay, first I would like to say that not all of the people Mcdonald's hires are ignorant or undereducated. Many of us are trying to move up in this feild or going to school part time and trying to pay for it.Before I worked here I had worked at a Wendy's and at a retail store and I have found out that this job is much better. We were recently told by our Area Supervisor that we all had a big chance to move up the ladder quicly because our owner is opening a new store. We have some of the best crew on earth and most are very dedicated to where they work and what they do.The reason behind crew rudness comes from hearing so many customers who don't know what they want and then cuss at you when you try to fix it for them. One day when our Drive Thru speaker broke down I got called a stupid lazy-ass bitch because I couldn't take his order until he got to my window. He then proceeded to look at me and say "I'm sorry,I'm having a bad day.Don't take that personnaly."
Easy for alot of people to do huh?
We are people to.We have lifes outside of this job.Just like everyone else on Earth. We don't like being cursed or yelled at.We don't come to your jobs and do this to you,do we?
Anyways, back to the story. Many of the members of my management team are great people. We just got a new Store Manager and things are improving in our store everyday.I love my job and I love what I do.I just don't like it when someone thinks that they can tell me how things are supposed to be done even though they have never in their life worked fast food.We do cook the food fresh and we do not microwave burgers. We don't flip burgers. The are on a compression grill.I just wish that all of these customers who like to yell and cuss when one little thing is wrong(i.e. pickles on a burger)that they could come to the back and work for just 30 minutes. This would open alot of peoples eyes.I'm not trying to make anyone mad.I just want the truth to come out. It's the same as the Golden Rule.Treat everyone the way you want to be treated....Even the lowly person in the resturant that is serving you.By the way,I am a certified Swing Manager at Parker's Crossroads TN. My name is Tamara.
Please remember,we are all people underneath that uniform.
