Where must I begin, to start of I was so excited when I got my first summer job working at Michigans "so-called". Number one amusement park;Michigan Adventure however. My working there was not as an amusing experience. I worked in the games department, and i thought it was going to be a wonderful experience. Helping my employer make money,as well as myself. However I had It all wrong about helping them make money. Ask anyone who worked around there money, all the shit we had to put to endure. You could'nt even give guest change without the bosses looking at you with suspicion. There was so much bad blood, that exsisted between the employees and the bosses. I myself had a negative opion of them. They put to much pressure on the employee, to perform to there liking, and let me tell you It was straight up hell. Because they always told us to smile , However they did'nt do much smiling themselves. To you smiling may be as simple as 1,2,3;however it was extemely dificuit under the circumstances, previously mentoned. I don't think anyone could bear standing from 11a.m till 10 p.m. with out wanting to sit. IF you were caught siting you where automatically fired NO QUESTIONS ASKED. They played emotional games with the employee also. It was diffcuit for me because I have a mental problem called social anxiety;and it was extemely nerve wreaking. My sister basically kept me sane, she always said to me if I had a bad day. I should always say to myself "calm down, take a deep breath, because it really did'nt matter because I would going home at the end of the day."Plus my supervisors and this one manger lady where really nice to me, It also help keep me sane, but the Bosses keep being rude. Then they finally started firing people, there where where three groups you'd fit in. The first group being the people who deserved to be fired, the second group those fired without cause, and the final group those fired out of suspicion. I got fired along with my sisters boyfriend, his firiend, and his friends friend also where fired.Al over stupid reasons unclear to me. The day I got fired was a confusing circumstands, this is how it happened. I was working on this game that was fas as hell. And I was in rush to get peopleon there way, and it was my first day working that game. Then this lady whos number two came up to my game and said she was going to do an audit on me, so me being curious I wanted to know what that word meant,I said that she give me a weird look. And so she searced my apron to see if i was right with my money. Aparently, I was missing tenn dollars which i thought at first was because it was so many people there,It was human mature to loose track. So she looked again so she found the bill crushed together. And I thought it didnt matter as long as it was in the apron. So she made feel un confortable because she knew she was going to get her way, throughout it all I still didnt have al clue what as to what was going on.So she took me to a back alley behind the games, and there stood my manager ,and the lady who runs the park. They started questioning , I stiil ways dumb founded, It kind of felt as if they where trying to paint a picture of me that did'nt even exsist. However my manager tryed to stick up for me the best way she could. But thoughs two ladyies saw otherwise.Today it has been almost quit sometime, now when I think of my experience working there. In my eyes Michigan Adventure seems like some sort of cult, evil in its roots. IT re Determines the fact that money will make people do the un kindest of things.I will never recommend that anyone work there, If you do work there do so at you're own risk,DO NOT ever think that you will be recieving special treatment.
