Nothing better than a happy kid!……Gymnastic Coach

I am a gymnastics coach. I worked in retail as well as at a coffee shop before I got this position. I have been involved in gymnastics for as long as I can remember, I would like to continue being involved in it for as long as I can.

I think that gymnastics is a great activity to teach kids and adults discipline and to have fun at the same time. I love to teach interested kids skills in gymnastics. When they are able to learn a particular skill properly, their expression is priceless. There is nothing better than a happy child!

I find it difficult to teach kids who have ADD or kids who are left at the gym so that their parents can have some free time. It is pointless to enroll your kids in a sport in which they have no interest.

Sometimes I think of quiting because it does take A LOT of patience and understanding that I may not always have (every single day).

My main goal is to gain enough experience in coaching so that I can eventually work with team/club gymnasts. They are so much more motivated and are fun to work with. If I am able to obtain a position as a Team Coach, I will feel like I have come a long way (in terms of experience and knowledge of the sport).

I like my boss, but she is sometimes difficult to talk to. She is a great coach, but our personalities contradict one another in a way that I cannot express.

In five years, I hope to be still working with kids in gymnastics, but my main focus will be pursuing my career as a graphic designer. In thirty years, hopefully I will have my own business in graphic design and will have already coached team level gymnastics.
