Nursing:The Worst Job in the World

I am an LPN and work in long term care. I have been an LPN for two years. I already have burnout. Whenever I have to go to work I feel sick to my stomach. I worked for 31 years with the phone company and then retired. I decided to go into nursing because I wanted a career change (BIG MISTAKE). I hated nursing school but I finished because my family wanted me to.

Nursing is extremely stressful and the other nurses are barracudas. Family members of the residents are unappreciative of the work you do and constantly complain about the care you give their loved ones. I recommend to anyone who considers becoming a nurse to first become a certified nursing assistant. That way you’ll only waste two weeks of training and $500 and not a whole year and $10,000 if you hate it.
