McDonalds SUCKS

I started working @ McD’s in Oct. ‘03. It was my very first job (I was 21) and I only took it because I needed the money and most places aren’t willing to hire a 21-year-old, newly married, college drop out who’s taking some time off to figure out what she wants to do with her life. So anyway, McD’s was pretty much my only option. They hired me on the spot. I was promoted to swing manager after 2.5 months.

I have never had to deal with so many morons in my life. There are several people I work with that it’s incredible they were able to graduate junior high much less high school. These people are seriously that stupid. Mind you, I did make some friends, but overall, they’re idiots.

There is a salary manager (my boss) that has been working for the owners for 20+ years. He hits me (literally) at least twice a week. Every time he does I tell him “don’t hit me” or “don’t touch me” and he still does it. I’ve complained to the store manager and nothing has been done. There are crew there that are lazy pieces of crap that have worked there for 3-4 months. This is a face paced environment and these jerks act like the store revolves around them and their “boyz”.

There is another swing manager that has stolen @ least $150 dollars that still works there!!! They admit I’m one of their best managers, yet I make %6.40 an hour and haven’t gotten a raise since March. This is absolutely been one of the worst experiences of my life and I would rather die of starvation than work @ another McDonalds!!!!

MCDONALDS SUCKS!!!

  2. Well 2 things hit me right away. 1st why work there find another job. 2nd this should be a learning experience to see THE NEED TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL. With out a trade or
Schooling your life is a lot harder then it has to be.
  3. Idiots and morons at McDonalds? Do you call them Ronalds and Big Macs? Want to mess with head space on the job? Bring in several pounds of burger buns and ground meat and condiments. Put it on the grill....

And then tell the Big Mac folk that you want to start serving real hamburgers.

PS: Throw in some hot dogs and actual vegetables, too! Things like broccoli and lentils, say? Tell the management that you want to help improve the nutritional valut of the menu to help little kids that might get cancer. Go for it!
  4. try working in a bank.
    oh my word!!!
  5. my sympathies.
i work for the same kak shop
  6. I worked at Sonic Drive in for approx 3 years. One year and about three months full but about three years. Since I worked on and off on a wierd basis. On that job It was my first job at 17. I started off at 5.15. I did everything when I was there. I would work from 8am to 10pm and sometimes off the clock I would. I made lots of over time and worked on all shifts. Which was only two,but yea. Over the time I met some really nice people and it was a great job,but it was hard. It wasn't no easy Mcdonald everything is already prepped and ready for you and unlike Sonic where I worked grill/prep/fryers/bagging/taking orders/making drinks all at once. Mc Donalds I only do one job first morning breakfast on the grill and then daytime meat on the grill. Sadly I do this for 8hours,but to me it's like a vacation from my old job. Oh yea and unlike working for Sonic for a year and so many months and never gaining a raise. I started off at Mc Donalds at 7.50 and now Im at 7.75. I feel sorry for you though. Im not even management. But my paychecks are bigger then yours. Also I have worked at other various places before I moved over to Mc Donalds I started at McD's as of last Dec. Im 22 now.

So this is a shorten version of alot of tales heh.

  8. damn dude, ive been working at mcdonalds for about a month and going on my 3rd paycheck and im about to quit, i work table all day 6am - 3pm some pricks placed huge ass grill orders and i had a sort of nervous breakdown, it was seriously like hell that day. before u get a job at mcdonalds think about how shitty it WILL get, try to find some other places, the first few paychecks are alright and the work isnt really getting to you, then it just gets repetitive and dull, and during the rush hours its hell on earth. lol take my advice and ponder your other options before applying at this hellish place.

  16. Liek omg how hrd iz it not 2 tlak liek a fuckin moron?
  17. Go to the Fergus Falls, MN Mc D's if you want some bad food. All the women have to be over 300 lbs, including the 16 year olds. And the guys look like they bathe in valvoline. A real grease pit. Rotten food, smells bad, same as always.
  18. They all just stand around and gawk at the FF Mc D's because they are too retarded to to anything else. Morons in their little gay red shirts. The service sucks. The employees suck. Big fat pigs in the drive thru. Too dumb to get a order right. They should do the county a favor and commit suicide.
  19. I've worked at McDonalds for about 6 months.. and the job is so freakin easy...there's a lot of stuff you can complain about but you can't say that the job isn't easy.. i work in the grill and i can do anything back there... the key is to not listen to any of the bullshit the managers say, and don't say anything to them... there's a couple I'm cool with and they let you take food.. and then there's like 2-3 hardasses that think McDonalds has to be perfect.... someone pays one dollar for a double cheese burger.. they don't expect a fuckin masterpiece... but anyways.. just keep to yourself when a manager is around and it makes the job so much easier
  20. Well who ever works there is a stupid morron and that dont want to go to school. What you should do is go to school and graduat and have a great carer so you dont have to be working for other people and they could be working for you.
  21. Why does everyone assume that people who work at McDonald's are stupid morons who don't want to go to school? A high percentage of people who work at McDonald's are students and they are not all idiots. I graduated at high school in honors classes with a 3.9 GPA and am now a full time college student at the University of Washington. I need to pay for gas and my books, so I work at McDonald's on the weekends. I was going to work in the library at school, but I would have had to take a pay cut. McDonald's is a flexible job easy for students and pays more than any of the food service places or the library, where most of my fellow students work. It really bugs me when people assume that everyone who works at McDonald's is an idiot. I have a friend who works at McDonald's and graduated with a 4.0 GPA from high school and was accepted into the UW School of Business as a freshman because of her high intelligence and she still works at McDonald's on the weekends. Not everyone has the luxury of going to school without having to work also.
  22. mcdonalds is awesome
  23. I work for a fast food chain that I find to be NOT a Ray of sunshine but a real Kroc of you-know-what. I have worked there for a pretty long time (nothing pretty about it tho) and I have found that it is VERY gender-biased.
I am a woman and you may find this shocking, but it is pro-female there and that is my complaint.
The manager is akin to the story of what a little dutch boy stuck his finger in to stop a flood. "She" has an all-female staff and the male portion of the crew is either light in the loafers or one of the managers favored employees(the females outnumber the males 3 to 1).
A couple of the males are a lot older than the rest of the crew and one of them seems to get picked on a lot for no reason. A lot of my friends ( and co-workers aren't my friends) have been to that restaurant and have heard for themselves the verbal abuse that is dished out by the younger workers.
I have also witnessed personally how it seems to be the 'love connection' for all the teens. And the 'mack daddy' seems to be a guy who is 12 mentally and seems to have A.D.D. with anger management issues (And THAT'S good employee stock??). There is one female (?) there who seems to be a bit of a BULLy (again associated with the dutch boy story). "She" is on a power trip and thinks that everyone is going to obey what she says simply because she says it.
My advice to any teens looking for work and to be instantly hired is to go to a temp agency and get a REAL job. OR live at home and go to college. Above all, STAY AWAY from fast food!!
  24. My biggest regret is filling out an application.
Okay, so I knew what I was getting myself into, but I really didn't have a choice.
For starters, the management (especially the upper management) are back-stabbers. They may say (and do) one thing to your face, but then they'll turn around and say (and do) another. Many people have lost their jobs because of the simple fact that they weren't well-liked. If you are well-liked, you're either f*cking the management, and/or kissing their ass - it's a guaranteed way to either get your crew-trainer shirt and/or a management position.

When clocking in I feel like I'm walking on a set of a soap opera, there's so much DRAMA going on - or, more accurately, I feel like I'm back in high school. (Maybe that has something to do with the fact that my co-workers are either high-schoolers, barely out of high school, or high school drop-outs.)

Quite frankly, I'm ready to put in my two-week notice. I'm tired of this crap.
  25. To OP:

(I realize this complaint is six years old, but still............)

He HITS you? Get this on a cell phone cam or other recording device and report him to corporate and/or the police. McDonalds should give you a nice settlement and the court case and proof given to corporate should put him out on the street..........
  26. Then place your resume here.
It is greate chance to find a proper job for you.
Also for employers, it is good place to look for their future employees.
  27. I just started and I haven't even had a full day @ work but I got a called today saying that someone dropped out a class and im next in line 2 join soooooo am I in the wrong to ask my boss if I can change from 7am shift to 3pm to a 11pm to a 7am on such short notice ?? Or should I just quit
  28. rthbrthbty
  29. During the interview, you will be asked a number of different questions by the interviewer. One of the most common questions asked is about your strengths and your weaknesses. One of the biggest mistakes that a job applicant makes is stating that they don’t have any weaknesses. Everyone has at least one weakness or something that they wish that they could chance about themselves. You will want to be honest and admit this. Of course, you don’t want to go overboard. What you will want to do is try and make your weakness a strength as well.
  30. I have been a working stiff for 43 years. Had a good paying job ($700 wk plus $1800 yearly bonus). The place closed down. I was forced to work at McDonald's. My first day there they put me in front of a computer to get familiar with things. The audio didn't work. The manager called someone over to fix it. They tried for 15 minutes and the manager yelled at that employee that they were supposed to fix it not break it. I missed that part of my training with the computer. We stepped into the kitchen and the manager started yelling at another employee for no reason that I could see. I have never worked in the food industry in my entire career. I explained that before I took the job. After 8 hours working I was totally stressed out. Just before my shift ended, the manager asked me to demonstrate how to cook something. I was pressured so much my the manager that I dropped one of the utensils and washed it. When I came back to the grill, only a minute later, I was told that was to return my uniform and go home. Other employees told me she was a hothead. They were right. Of course no one could complain about her because she was daddy's little girl and daddy owned the franchise. I agree with the statement McDonald's Sucks because it really does. This is the worst job I've had in my entire working career. I wouldn't send my enemy there for a job.

Said Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel, "I'm surprised that Jerry Jones didn't articulate, 'If we're playing the game in Dallas, my cheerleaders are going to into loophole at halftime and imprison on a show.' "

But it is not Jones' call.
